A piece that makes it all the way across the board is “crowned” king, usually by having another checker placed on top of it. King pieces can move either diagonally forward or diagonally backwards across the board. Checkers is a great way to learn and employ strategy and quick thinking. It helps keep the mind sharp and thinking ahead to outsmart your opponent!

Included: Approximately 12′ x 12′ black and white playing board, a complete set of 24 beautiful giant checker pieces:, 12 black, 12 white, 14″wide x 2.5″ tall. The checkers nest together perfectly to make a tight-fitting “King,” should you be able to advance a checker to your opponent’s end. Each piece comes with a rubber base pad to help protect the piece if accidentally dropped.
